Laura Berglund is an award-winning freelance designer and art director in Brooklyn, NY, offering seamless design thinking across branding, editorial, packaging, and web/mobile design, centered around a strong visual concept.
Currently, she is working full time as senior brand designer at Paperless Post in New York, NY, focusing on bringing the brand into a more modern, up-to-date aesthetic across all branded touch points.
Before coming onboard at Paperless Post, she focused on projects that promoted social good at Hyperakt in Brooklyn, NY, developed bold and conceptual projects at Design Army in Washington, DC, and playful branding and editorial projects at Design Ranch in her hometown of Kansas City, Missouri.
Laura was named one of Print Magazine's New Visual Artists of 2015. Her work has been recognized in Communication Arts, the Print Regional Design Annual, HOW Magazine, Society of Publication Designers, AAF, DC Ad Club, AIGA, Kansas City Ad Club, The Pivot Design Conference, Design Observer, Under Consideration, and Behance.
Clients include Bloomingdale's, MoMA, The United Nations, The One Club, The City of New York, Amplify, Washingtonian Bride & Groom, AIGA, The University of Virginia Library, and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
Recently she was invited to be a designer alongside Michael Beirut, Paula Scher, and more of Laura's design heroes as part of the Lolita cover project by John Bertram. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from the Kansas City Art Institute.
